About The Artwork
'After the outbreak of Covid-19 , I have been undertaking a lot of travels between the UK, where I study, and Italy, where my family lives. Due to the different safety measurements in each country, I have been spending a lot of time in quarantine. This time has given me the opportunity to reflect on what I have and be grateful for the little things, like the presence of the sun in the morning.
"Quarantine diary" is a short film, composed of one minute for each day of quarantine, a sort of selected moment of the day to be grateful for. The short doesn't just document the passing of time in self isolation, but it witness the growth of a friendship, a special one, among a human and a plant. The connection between animal and vegetal beings is possible, and it is something than we need to embrace now more than ever. As a matter of fact, the reciprocal sharing of time and space with my little plant has made me feel less lonely every day , feeding my soul with peace and serenity.'
