'During the first lockdown in 2020, I started creating metamorphoses of Covid-related press images through selective overpainting. Thereby, the resulting “c/Ovid Press Rewildings” reveal covert life forms which colonise their source images, and thus the (out-)look of everyone they depict and are viewed by: The pandemic transforms our relationships with invisible and visible nature, benign or hostile. In isolation, we can connect with non-human life around us, and maybe, eventually, more deeply with each other.'
