About The Artwork
'I think everyone had an opinion about art in lockdown - be it that they thought they would do it in lockdown but didn’t feel motivated or found new avenues to exercise their creative muscle.
I found ways for being creative in lockdown but time was sometimes an issue as I was looking after Noe. The online classes I discovered were great as they were 2hrs long and really productive (by the end of the class you’d learnt about artists and produce a piece of work in the style of them). I also didn’t feel guilty about doing it in work time as I looked at as professional development.
Being creative in lockdown was something I needed, helped me feel sane, it gave me the opportunity to be indulgent and relax. I used whatever materials I had in the house, all of these were painted on wallpaper.
So I created a Frida Kahlo inspired piece, David Hockney, Hokusai and Pop-art.'
