About The Artwork

'The pieces I am submitting are based on a theme that developed through thoughts during the pandemic. I started thinking about alternative reasons for this happening and I concluded that maybe this is mother nature taking matters into her own hands. For a long time, the human species has been warned to halt their actions that are polluting the planet, we have been urged to change our ways to help delay global warming, save our animals and their habitats, and save our beautiful earth.

Our need and greed are greater than preserving the world we live in, because of our selfish needs and personal gain we are single-handedly destroying the earth. So what if maybe mother nature has decided to take things into her own hands and save her world, creation, and this planet she gave life to. What if we have been warned enough times that she has given us this fate. This conclusion comes from all of the good news that has been delivered during the pandemic, the fish returning to Venice, and their water returning clear. This is just one example of my thought process for this theme.

The piece I am submitting depicts a DNA helix portraying the bond between the human race and mother nature being destroyed, while the human race clings on like zombies, mother nature retreats to save her world that is too good for humans, they are single-handedly destroying the earth and in turn, themselves. I believe this pandemic is has been bestowed upon us by mother nature herself and because of our continued greed and selfishness, the virus is spreading further and thus we are wiping ourselves out. I have other pieces in works relating to this theme and I propose a series of paintings depicting mother nature saving herself and the earth and the human race destroying themselves and this world. This is one of my finished pieces.'
