About The Artwork

'2020 brought about profound change to all our lives and each of us has been faced with conflicting experiences of both isolation and connection during the pandemic. This piece imagines a future in which humanity lives in peace and unity, reaching out for each other in a bond of friendship. The artist uses stitching to symbolise the loose threads of each of our lives joined together by the same blood that flows through the arteries and veins of every human being, and as a reflection of the ties that bind communities together.'
