About The Artwork

'This original composition set is a metaphorical visualization of a smooth transition to a new world; inspired by ongoing changes in industries such as architecture, agriculture, manufacturing and production, the piece represents society as a whole and the way we view the world. A visual plea, a hope towards better days and a more efficient civilisation. Techniques of digital drawing are utilised to allow transparent layering while retaining a brush-and-paint look of the main constituents and the use of a vivid double colour-palette with multiple levels of saturation serves to distinguish the contrasting realities at their strongest peak while encompassing analogous colours allows for a fluid metamorphosis of scenery without a jarring or staggered transcript, permitting uninterrupted visual flow; henceforth the entire composition relies on cool colours with dashes of warmth that consequently outstand all the more.

The day/night theme is used to elevate the obvious transformation from an abused and squandered society to a lavish world teeming with beautiful landscapes sprawling with lush vegetation. An acute observer might notice the composition is not split unerringly down the middle, but rather the oeuvre is right-heavy; this is for the purpose of drawing the eye swiftly over the gradient and focus on 'Eden' as one might focus on the goal of improving the world rather than dwelling on the carnage left behind by a wasteful existence.'
