'Elements of chaos and control are entwined with chemical destruction and a philosophy of trauma that are poured through the canvas to express grief, decay and recovery. I lost the passion to paint 4 years ago when my painting teacher failed me in 2nd year of university for not being contemporary enough. However, since the beginning of the 1st lockdown I finally picked up the paint brush again and began expressing my emotions on the canvas. Lockdown has conjured up feelings of stress, worry, loss and hope for me and from there I created the on going series "A response to grief"'
